What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, tablet, or phone) when you visit a website. Types of Cookies We Use
There are two kinds. The first keeps the site working and includes the live chat you use to reach us, so it is always on. The second is marketing and analytics, which is optional and yours to turn off, through our cookie banner or your browser settings.
What Keeps the Site Working
These cookies are essential for the website and application to function. They cannot be switched off because the Services would not work without them. They are usually set in response to actions you take, such as logging in or setting your privacy preferences.

First-Party Analytics
We use PostHog (PostHog, Inc.) for first-party website analytics. It stores a pseudonymous identifier in your browser (localStorage and a first-party cookie) so we can measure returning visitors and how our site performs over time. It records page views and anonymous interaction events to help us understand how visitors use the site. Session recording is disabled, and it does not collect your name, email, address, phone, health, role, or care-relationship data, and it does not sell or share your personal information or use it for cross-site advertising. Because it is first-party analytics only, it runs by default. You can opt out at any time using the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" control in Cookie Settings, and we honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals automatically.
Cookies on the SeniorThrive Web Application
The SeniorThrive web application (accessed after you log in) uses a more limited set of cookies and tracking technologies than the marketing website. The app uses what it needs to run (Supabase authentication, Sentry error reports so we find out when the app breaks, and local storage for application state), plus a set of separate choices you control one at a time: live chat support, recording the few seconds around an error, product diagnostics, full-visit diagnostics (off unless you turn it on), and measuring our advertising. The app does not use Google Analytics or advertising pixels.
Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies are placed by third-party services that appear on our pages. We do not control these third-party cookies. The third-party providers listed in the tables above have their own privacy policies governing how they use the data they collect:

Your Choices and Controls
Cookie Banner:
When you first visit our website, you will see a cookie banner with one choice to make: whether to allow marketing and analytics. Everything else is what the site needs to work, including the live chat. You can change your answer at any time by clicking the cookie settings link in the footer of any page.
