The Medicine Tracker helps you keep all your medications organized in one easy place — so you always know what to take, when to take it, and when it's time for a refill.
What Is the Medicine Tracker?
The Medicine Tracker helps you keep track of all your medications in one place. You can see what you need to take each day, set reminder times, track refills, and store your pharmacy information. Once it's set up, the tracker does the remembering for you.
Getting Started: Finding the Medicine Tracker
- Sign in to your SeniorThrive account.
- Look at the menu on the left side of the screen.
- Find the section called My Health and click on it to expand it.
- Click Medicine Tracker. The Medicine Tracker page will open.
Understanding the Tabs
At the top of the Medicine Tracker you will see six tabs. Think of each tab as a different section of your medicine notebook.
- Today's Schedule — Shows all the medications you need to take today.
- My Medications — Your full list of all saved medications.
- History — A record of medications you have marked as taken.
- Refills — Alerts you when a medication is due for a refill.
- Pharmacies — Stores your pharmacy contact information.
- Safety — Shows personalized safety tips based on your medications.
Click any tab to go to that section.
How to Add a Medication
Adding a medication takes four short steps. The app will walk you through each one.
To get started:
- Click the + Add Your First Medication button (or + Add New Medication once you have existing ones saved).
- A panel will slide open on the right side of your screen. You will see it says Step 1 of 4 at the top.
Step 1 of 4 — Name Your Medication
This step asks you what the medication is called.
Option A — Scan the bottle label (quickest way):
- Click the Scan Medication Label button.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to use your device's camera to scan the bottle. The app will fill in the name for you.
Option B — Type the name yourself:
- Click inside the text box that says e.g., Lisinopril, Metformin, Aspirin.
- Type the name of the medication exactly as it appears on the bottle or prescription label.
Optional: There is a second box below asking "What is this medication for?" You may type a short note here, such as "blood pressure" or "heart." This is just a reminder for yourself — it is not required.
When you are ready, click the Continue button at the bottom.
Step 2 of 4 — Dosage and Form
This step asks how strong the medication is and what type it is.
- In the first box, type the dosage number (for example: 50, 100, 325).
- Using the dropdown menu next to it, select the unit: mg, mcg, g, ml, or units.
- Under Medication Form, click the button that matches what your medication looks like: Tablet, Capsule, Liquid, Injection, Patch, or Cream.
Click Continue when ready.
Step 3 of 4 — Schedule and Reminder Time
This step sets how often you take the medication and when you want to be reminded.
- Choose how often you take it: Once Daily, Twice Daily, Three times daily, or As Needed.
- Below the frequency options, you will see a Set reminder times section. Click on the time to change it or use the clock icon to pick a time.
Click Continue when ready.
Step 4 of 4 — Final Details (Optional but Helpful)
This last step lets you add a few extra details. None of these are required.
- Special instructions — Notes like "Take with food" or "Avoid grapefruit."
- Start date — The date you started or will start taking this medication.
- Refill date — When your prescription will need to be refilled.
- Where do you get this filled? — Link to a pharmacy you've saved, or add one now.
Review the Summary box at the bottom, then click the green Add Medication button.
