    What You'll See

Moments after uploading your photo, you will see a Room Preview with details about your scan.

    Room Preview typically includes:

    • The room name and image number (example: Bathroom, image 1).
    • Date taken.
    • Who performed the scan.
    • A Room Score for that specific space.

    Understanding Your Room Score

Room scores are weighted by their importance to your safety.

    • High-risk, daily-use rooms (like a bathroom) start with a maximum score of 100.
    • Lower-risk areas start with a lower maximum score because they have a smaller impact on your fall risk.

When safety issues or independence barriers are identified, points are deducted based on:

    • Impact level (High, Medium, Low).
    • The type of risk involved.

Higher impact issues deduct more points because they represent greater safety risk.

Your Room Score reflects the current safety condition of that space. You may see categories such as:

    • Safety Issues: Immediate risks that could increase fall danger.
    • Independence Barriers: Features that may make daily movement harder over time.
    • Engagement Opportunities: Improvements that support long-term accessibility.

Each category shows the number of items identified. Items are clearly labeled and visually marked by Impact Level so you can quickly see what matters most first.

    How to Read a Recommendation

Recommendations are organized with the most meaningful changes clearly labeled so you can prioritize with confidence. Each item expands into a detailed view when you tap on it.

Inside a recommendation, you may see:

    • The title of the issue (for example, "Remove or Secure Bath Mat").
    • The Impact Level (High, Medium, or Low).
    • The Effort/Cost estimate.

    The Concern

This explains why the item was flagged and how it may affect safety or independence.

    Our Goal for This Task

This section explains the purpose behind the recommendation. The focus is always on helping you move confidently and safely in your space.

    Recommended Actions

You will see clear, practical options such as:

    • Removing the item entirely.
    • Replacing it with a safer alternative.
    • Modifying the setup to reduce risk.

You may be given more than one option so you can choose what works best for you.

    Resources & Guides

Some recommendations include additional support such as:

    • DIY Guides.
    • Video demonstrations.
    • Suggested products.
    • Finding local professionals.

These resources are optional. They are there to help, not overwhelm.

    Skill Level, Time, and Cost

    You may also see:

    • Estimated skill level.
    • Estimated time required.
    • Estimated cost range.

These are general guidelines to help you plan. This structure helps you understand the issue, the goal, and your options clearly before making any decision.

    Understanding Impact Levels

High Impact: The most important safety upgrades to consider first. Changes that significantly reduce fall risk or improve safety.

Medium Impact: Improvements that meaningfully increase comfort or stability.

Low Impact: Smaller optimizations that still contribute to a safer space.

    Effort and Cost Guidance

Each recommendation also includes an Effort/Cost Level so you can understand what may be involved before taking action.

    • Low: Simple adjustments you can often do yourself.
    • Medium: May require minor tools or assistance.
    • High: May involve renovation or professional help.

    These are estimates, not requirements.

    Your To-Do List and Points

Each recommendation can be added to your Home Safety To-Do List. You choose which items matter most to you.

    When you:

    1. Add a task to your list.
    2. Complete the recommended improvement.
    3. Mark the task as complete.

    You earn points back.

Here is the best part: When you complete a task and mark it finished, you receive double the points back that were originally deducted.

This bonus rewards your proactive work. Improving your space increases your score even more than if the risk had never existed.

Your progress is visible immediately in your Room Score.

    How This Improves Your ThriveScore

Each room contributes to your overall ThriveScore. As you:

    • Reduce high-impact risks.
    • Improve independence features.
    • Complete recommended tasks.

Your Room Score rises, and your overall ThriveScore increases. This system rewards proactive action.

The goal is simple: Improve your space. Increase your score. Strengthen your independence.

    You Decide What to Change

    All recommendations are suggestions.

    You choose:

    • What fits your home.
    • What fits your budget.
    • What feels right for you.

Even one completed task can increase your score and reduce risk.
